The Opportunity
We are looking for a Commodity Manager to develop and execute commodity strategies, contract negotiations, cost optimization, and risk mitigation for assigned commodities. This individual will be responsible for selection and de-selection, evaluation, and supply base rationalization. The successful candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in freight procurement.
This role is located near Atlanta, GA.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years of experience in freight procurement
- CPM/CPSM
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute commodity strategy, contract negotiations, cost optimization, and risk mitigation for assigned commodities
- Responsible for supplier selection / de-selection, evaluation, and supply base rationalization
- Manage strategic and tactical supplier relationships and measure supplier performance related to assigned scope
Compensation
- Base: Excellent pay - Commensurate with experience
